I was born on
March 22, 1965 in Novi Sad, Serbia, where I graduated from the Academy of Arts
in 1989, majoring in painting. Acquired the title of master of applied
(monumental) painting in 2013 at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. I am a
transactional analysis practitioner, too.
I have won a number
of awards and recognition for my artistic work. So far, exhibited 30
solo exhibitions in Serbia and abroad.
In addition to
painting, I engaged in mosaic, graphic design and ceramics. Employed as a
professor.
I am the founder and owner of the Museum of Matches
in SremskiKarlovci, Serbia.
Exhibits In 1856, Emerich Reisner
founded the First Match Factory in Osijek, together with Josip Fösmayer. The
factory was then the only one of its kind in the whole of southern Europe, and
it was founded only 23 years after the appearance of the first match in the
world. The German
Reisner family moved to Osijek in the 18th century. The noble title was granted
to Caspar Reisner in 1791 by the Croatian-Hungarian King Leopold II. In 1885, Adam
Reisner took over the management of the Osijek match, as the people of Osijek
popularly called it. He introduced technological innovations in production and
then began the rise of the factory, which became one of the largest export
companies in the then Austro-Hungarian monarchy (matches are exported to
European countries, the Asian part of the Turkish Empire, the Middle East and
Egypt). At the end of the 80's of the 19th century, the first steam engine was
installed in the Match Factory. 1906 year, a direct current generator for
lighting the factory was procured. This electrical device was one of the first
in Osijek. The match factory was lit at a time when public lighting in Osijek
was shifting from kerosene lanterns to gas lighting. At that time, about 400
workers were employed, and the annual production was about 12,000 boxes of
5,000 boxes of matches in each. The assortment was large and varied, and
several types of matches and about 30 different packages were made. Adam pl.
Reisner was the owner until 1909, when the factory became a joint stock company
and was called Tvornicažigica Drava d.d., and he was the president of the board
of directors. Adam Reisner has successfully run the factory for 35 years. After
his death, on May 13, 1939. the factory continued to operate and decades later
was one of the leading companies in Osijek industry, until 2003 when it ceased
operations.
These are some of
the examples of labels, as a cross-section of time, of the state and social
organization of our country, as well as an example of design development. |
